Hello and welcome! I am a Professor of Political Science at Loyola University Chicago’s Department of Political Science, where I am currently serving as Department Chair. I also direct Loyola’s PEP Lab.
My research and teaching interests are in the areas of international relations and foreign policy decision-making, with emphasis on international conflict and conflict management.
My book, The Building and Breaking of Peace: Corporate Activities in Civil War Prevention and Resolution, examines corporations’ conflict roles in building and preventing peace using original data and in-depth case analyses of corporate actions and outcomes in Colombia, Northern Ireland, and Tunisia.
I received my PhD from the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Davis and my BA from the University of Georgia.
